rickea's story
Rickea Jackson took a winding path to the WNBA. She played at Mississippi State before transferring to Tennessee, where she developed into one of the most dynamic small forwards in college basketball. The Chicago Sky selected her 4th overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
In her rookie season she quickly established herself as one of the most creative offensive players in the league — someone who can score from the mid-range, get to the free throw line, and create her own shot in a variety of ways. She was named to the WNBA All-Star team in her first year.
At 23, Jackson is at the very beginning of what looks like it could be a long career at the top of the sport. Her combination of skill, athleticism, and basketball IQ suggests she is only getting started.
