natasha's story
Natasha Cloud has been one of the most vocal and consistent advocates for social justice among active WNBA players. She sat out the 2020 WNBA bubble to focus on voting rights and social justice work in Philadelphia, a decision that cost her a salary and a season but reflected a set of values she has never wavered from.
On the court she is a skilled point guard who can create offense for others and defend multiple positions. She won a WNBA championship with the Washington Mystics in 2019 and has been one of the most reliable players on multiple teams.
Cloud represents what the WNBA has increasingly become — a platform for athletes who understand that their visibility gives them a responsibility to use their voices for something larger than basketball. She has used hers consistently and at real personal cost.
